Teaser Tuesday: Joyfully Single

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along!

TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:

* Grab your current read.
* Let the book fall open to a random page.
* Share with us any two (2) "teaser" sentences from that page.
* You also need to share the title of the book that you're getting your "teaser" from... that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you've given!
* Spoilers not allowed! XD

Here's mine:

"So much of our love is conditional -- I'll love you provided you love me back, but if you don't love me the same way I love you, it's all over. I'll take my toys and split."

Does that mean unconditional love is merely the willingness to be uneven? Or what do you call it when you will go a long way, but not right over a cliff?

My teaser is here.

That's a sad and depressing thought.

It goes to show how selfish we can be!

Thanks for sharing your teasers and your thoughts on the teaser. One has to read the book in order to understand the author's point. I love the book! Maybe if I'm brave enough, I'll write a review. XD

@Alice: the book cover is already teasing enough!

@Lorin: The layout is really cute that's why I chose it.

@Becky, Kah Woei and Beth: The author is pointing out that most of us love with conditions. If you have enough money, I will love you, if you care, I will also care. Maybe most of the time it's selfishness but for some it's self preservation. Just my thoughts. XD

I've been happily married for a couple of decades now, so I'm not likely to pick up the book. Unless you give it a good review. :)

Thursday Next is the lead character in a series by Jasper Fforde. They are weird, fun books, where characters from literatures walk around and strange things always happen. They're great fun for any book lover. Here's my review of the first 2 books in the series: The Eyre Affair and Lost in a Good Book.
